With Page-Level Customization, you can streamline the layout of candidate records (or any module), tailor information display, and create a more focused and efficient user experience.
In this post, we’ll show you how to optimize your candidate record views in Zoho Recruit to match your workflow—not someone else’s.
🔧 What is Page-Level Customization in Zoho Recruit?
Page-level customization lets you personalize the details page layout of a record—such as Candidates, Clients, Job Openings, and more.
You can:
Add, remove, or reorder sections (called Related Lists)
Choose which information appears first
Eliminate unnecessary clutter
Create a logical, intuitive layout tailored to your hiring process
This ensures every recruiter sees the right information at the right time, boosting speed and clarity.
🔍 What Are Related Lists?
Related Lists are sections in a record’s detail page that display associated data, such as:
Notes
Interviews
Attachments
Emails
Activities
Assessment Scores
Offer Letters
By customizing these lists, you bring the most relevant data front and center and reduce clicks needed to find key information.
🛠️ How to Customize a Candidate Record Page
Go to the Candidates module in Zoho Recruit
Select a candidate record
Click More > Organize Candidate Details
Or, hover over the Related List section and click the Configure icon
A popup will appear:
Use checkboxes to select/unselect sections
Use drag-and-drop to reorder sections
Click Save
🎯 Note: The Notes section is fixed at the top and cannot be reordered (by default).
🧩 Use Cases: Smart Ways to Organize Record Pages
Scenario | Suggested Layout |
---|---|
Screening Candidates | Show Notes, Emails, Interviews, Attachments at the top |
Post-Interview Review | Move Interview Feedback, Tasks, and Calls higher |
Onbording Phase | Prioritize Offer Letters, Assessment Reports, and Background Checks |
🧠 Why Page-Level Customization Matters
Here’s how it helps your recruiting team:
⚡ Faster Access: Reduce the time spent scrolling or switching tabs
🎯 More Focused Workflow: Prioritize the info you act on daily
🤝 Team Alignment: Standardize layout across teams for consistent navigation
🔒 User-Specific Views: Give each user the flexibility to tailor their own view (based on profile permissions)
📌 Bonus: Customizing Business Card View
Want to get a snapshot view before answering a call or diving into a record?
Customize the Business Card View:
Click on any record
Hover over a field in the card view
Click the arrow icon and choose your preferred field
Or go to More > Customize Business Card to rearrange
This ensures recruiters see key data like phone, status, and job title at a glance—especially useful for incoming calls or quick reviews.
